§ 5.110.430. Violations—Penalties.
A.
Any person duly licensed, as required by this chapter, to supervise or perform any installation or work governed by the Mechanical Code or NFPA Code of the city, who shall, as such licensee, take out or secure a permit such as required by this chapter, for work to be done by any person not connected with such licensee nor in the employ of such licensed person, or who shall allow his name to be used by any person for the purpose either of doing any such work or obtaining a permit therefor, shall by such act, upon suspension by the mechanical board, forthwith forfeit his license, and the mechanical inspector shall thereafter refuse to issue any further permits to construct, install, alter or repair any mechanical equipment under any license so forfeited.

Any person who installs in any building, structure or enclosure in the area covered by this chapter any apparatus, articles or mechanical equipment as defined in the Mechanical Code or NFPA Code, which does not comply with the requirements of the codes of the city, shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter and shall be subject, on conviction thereof by any court of competent jurisdiction, to a fine of not less than two hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars for the first offense, and for the second and each subsequent offense not less than four hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
C.
Any person, including owners of, and agents for, real estate being improved by work governed by the provisions of the Mechanical Code or NFPA Code of the city who violates any provisions of this chapter or fails to comply with any of such provisions, except where a specific penalty is otherwise provided in this chapter, shall be subject, on conviction thereof by any court of competent jurisdiction, to a fine of not less than two hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars for the first offense, and for the second offense not less than four hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars and in addition thereto, any license theretofore issued to such offender may be revoked by the mechanical board.
